It's 1935 and discontent is rife in America. About the Author Sinclair Lewis was a journalist and Nobel Prize winning novelist known for 20th century works like Main Street, Elmer Gantry and Babbitt. Born on February 7, 1885, in Sauk Centre, Minnesota, Sinclair Lewis studied at Yale University and worked as a newspaper journalist before becoming an acclaimed novelist. Known for his satirical take on modern affairs, some of his well-known releases included Main Street, Arrowsmith, Babbitt and Dodsworth. In 1930, he became the first U.S. writer to win the Nobel Prize in Literature. Lewis died on January 10, 1951 in Rome, Italy.
